The Snow Leopard Challenge 2009 This years Snow Leopard Challenge was better than ever with ski racing competition keenly contested. Hemel Hempstead’s new Snow Centre provided a fantastic venue with great snow, brilliant organisation and a homely après ski scene. In total the Snow Leopard Challenge attracted hundreds of competitors, families and spectators on the day.
This is the 3rd Snow Leopard Challenge and each challenge offers aspiring racers the chance to race for great prizes, get hints and tips from Kwame, dubbed The Snow Leopard and enjoy the friendly atmosphere. One of the things that makes the event and competition such a great success is the recognition racers get and the sheer quantity of prizes. Kwame commented “When I started out with a dream of Olympic qualification I had to learn the hard way and battle to get kit as an up and coming, unrecognised athlete. The prizes is my way of passing on ski gear and kit to other aspiring ski racers. I hope it will help to inspire them to follow their dreams and be the best they can be”.
